Arousing Objections (Part Two)

Part Two

We’re face to face. He caresses his lips against mine, patiently waiting for me to accept his devotion. “Robert, I can’t do this. It’s a conflict now.” I say trying to fight the urge of my pulsating middle. He slides in closer, trapping me against the door. I have nowhere to go. Not that I wanted to anyway.

“No one would know baby.” Yes…you are an impeccable liar aren’t you? I push him back and face forward crossing my arms and legs. Not tonight buddy…not ever.

“I’m putting your ass in prison.” I say. He sighs putting his head in his hands. I can feel his desperation, but I ignore my consoling impulse to hold him. “Can I go now?”

“No.” He says simply before knocking on the car window three times. The lumberjacks get in and pull off right away.

“What the fu-…where are you taking me?” I ask slithering as far away from him as I could. He cocks his head to the side looking at me questioning my movements.

“Alex, I would never hurt you.”

“Too late jack ass!”

He takes a breath getting fed up with my insults no doubt. “I would never physically harm you. I need to show you something.” I stare at his hazel eyes as his sincerity beams back at me. Through me.  What the hell would he have to show me? Not having much choice, I relent. Besides, one giant snatched my purse and briefcase before throwing me back here. I cannot believe I’m getting kidnapped.

“Fine.” I say rolling my eyes facing forward, but his eyes spewing daggers overwhelms me. “What!” I shout.

“You’re so cute when you’re pissed.” No this motherfucker is not making fun of me. But that’s Robert. He always showed me how enticing my attitudes were to him. I blush thinking about how easy his touch soothes my chaos. His smiling eyes are replaced by a soft caress fracturing my icy façade. I turn my gaze from his breaking his spell, but he grabs my chin pulling me back to face him. “Come here.” He says. I stare at him knowing if I don’t do what he wants, he’ll just do it himself. I slither over staring at him as he slides the back of his hand down my face. His touch takes me back to when we met years ago. I had just started at the D.A.’s office, so I was in great spirits. On my way into the Assistant District Attorney’s office, I bumped into Robert as he was walking out.

“Excuse me.” I whisper admiring his tall intimidating demeanor.

“Robert Thoms.” He smiles extending his hand.

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Thoms. Alexandra Jones.” We continue to shake hands exchanging awkward smiles as the attraction to one another demands our attention. Wow, what’s happening right now?

“I’m sorry Mrs. Jones. I didn’t mean to hold you up.” He says releasing my hand but not my eyes.

“Mzzz Jones,” I correct him, “yes, I have a meeting.” I smile pointing to the Assistant District Attorney’s door he’s fortunately blocking.

“I guess I’ll see you around.” He steps to the side and heads down the hall. I watch him until he peeks back smiling. Oh my, what a beautiful chocolate man. Get it together girl. I smile back before heading into the office.

Hours later, I decide to have lunch outside. To my surprise, I see Mr. Thoms having what seems to be a heated debate with one of my colleagues. How are they acquainted? Why does my colleague look so timorous? Better yet, why is Thoms still here? When he sees me coming, he dismisses my colleague before walking toward me.

“Lunchtime?” He asks smiling as he approaches.

“Yes. How do you know Jason Mitchell?” I ask. He stares as if he’s not sure how to answer.

“We have business together.” His vague response only makes me more intrigued. Not one of my strong suits. “You mind if I join you?” I glare not sure why my dainty simplicity is appealing to his strong mysterious charm.

“I think I can handle that.” He smiles holding out his arm for me to take and leads me to the garden area in front of the building. Sitting he nods at two inconspicuous large men before giving me his undivided attention. I wonder what that was about? His compelling powerful disposition is captivating as I stare into his eyes wondering where he came from and why he’s here.

“Tell me everything.” He says smiling inching closer.

“I certainly can’t tell you everything about me in a half hour.” I say giggling.

“Well, take the rest of the day off.” He says nonchalant. Nervous energy causes me to laugh out loud. Once I see his straight face, I realize he’s very much serious.

“I can’t do that, I just started.”

“You sure? It’ll only take a phone call.” Who are you? It’s evident he’s the Carlito type, so should I have an escape plan? No, he seems harmless…to me.

“How about I just tell you what I can now, and the rest later.”

“I’m all ears Miss Jones.” He says with a generous smile.

“What the hell do you want from me?” I ask as he stares down into me.

“Did you ever think that maybe I didn’t do this?” He asks.

“Oh, you can’t be serious.” I say almost laughing…then I glance at his face. Oh, I don’t think he found that amusing at all. But his prints were on the murder weapon. “Are you saying you didn’t kill Jason?” He stares at me quietly before grabbing my hands, holding them between us. I decide not to fight him.

“Alex, I may have done some bad things, some to certain people, but I didn’t kill him.”

Just then we drive through a large iron gate that opens to a long road. Finally a large house appears before pulling into the underground parking structure. The large men get out and the driver opens Robert’s door. He grabs my hand to lead me out, but I snatch it back. He turns to face me furious. Oops…it’s obvious he’s had it with me now. He gets out of the truck dismissing the giants before turning to face me even more pissed.

“Get the fuck out! Now!” He roars through gritted teeth. I’ve never seen him this angry…with me anyway. I slide over cautiously, but once at the door he pulls me out, shuts the door and pushes me against it. His aggression should scare me…but it doesn’t. It always made my warmth flutter. “What the hell is your problem?” I hate that I want you to fuck me, I answer silently.

“You are!” I shout. He gets close leaning on the truck towering over me.

“What was I supposed to do? Tell you I’m a fucking criminal up front?” I glance at his boiling eyes confounded. He’s so close to my face daring me to make a move. I understand that’s not something he should disclose right away. But there is one thing.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were married?” I whisper. He closes his eyes a moment. When he reopens them, some of the frustration has left.

“Because I wanted you Ally. I still do.”

“You’re an asshole.”

“Yes. I am.” He leans in closer nuzzling my nose again grazing my lips with his. Why is his invasion mentally spreading my legs?

“Why are you doing this?”

“Because you’re mine.” He leans in all the way kissing me hard, making it difficult to breathe. Before I can push him away he lifts my arms above my head, pressing his heavy muscular body against me, and I let him, giving into my darkest desire. He continues his assault as he gropes my plump bottom slowly lifting my skirt before backing up from my lips to catch his breath. No…come back, I think instantly. “Ally, I want you to stay with me tonight after I show you this.” I don’t respond. I can’t stay here. I shouldn’t even be here right now, he must want me disbarred or something. He kisses me once more then pulls me from the garage and into the hall of his large house. He clambers through the foyer and into his study before releasing my hand and walks over to the bookshelf. I didn’t even have time to admire his home considering it’s my first time here. “Listen, this is everything. The whole truth. I hope you’ll stay regardless of what’s behind here.”

“Just show me already.” He eyes me apprehensively before pulling one book down making the bookcase pop open. He slides the large bookcase door open revealing a secret room, which is too dark for me to see a thing. I stand at the opening as he walks in afraid of what he’s about to show me. When he flicks on the light inside the small room, I see everything. His truth. His lies. Everything. “You goddamn liar!”
