Writing for this anthology gave me the chance to write about something personal to me, and about who encouraged me to move forward in my writing endeavors, my fiancé. My short is about his life and how it helped to prepare him for his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. It’s such a debilitating disease and it’s hard to see someone you love who was once so active, not be able to even walk some days. Writing became my escape…and my peace of mind even for a brief moment.

Blurb:
Karma always comes back to find you.
Throughout my life, I made raw, life-altering choices that not only affected my life, but the people around me I had grown to trust…depend on. Because of that, and my selfish decisions, I felt loss of those closest to me in painful ways. I just knew Karma had it out for me, but there are people placed in your life for a reason. My person became my confidant…my wife…my reason to move forward.
Moving forward from a diagnosis that could have knocked me down and kept me there until my crippling death. But I was given the second chance to live and endure whatever comes my way. So now, I’m more than just a shell of a man, I’m Chase Hunter. The husband…the father…the Multiple Sclerosis Survivor.
